Best Burger joints in Boston

The city of Boston is aristocratic and perhaps due to the pedestal place it occupies in the American politics and education, it ought to be. However, like all American cities, it has not escaped the burger craze and on every other corner you will find a burger joint. Students, politicians, business magnates, professors and lawyers have been unable to resist this German-invented, Americanized cuisine. My friends do not like it when I call the burger a cuisine - but none of them has actually come up with a plausible explanation why it is not. Check out the following top burger joints in Boston.

1. 80 Thoreau

I know the name sounds classy - but even classy restaurants have to serve the most eaten food item in the US. This particular joint serves the 80 Thoreau Burger that comprises of aged Grafton cheddar, mayo-based house sauce with grainy mustard, a hint of cayenne, and brioche bun. The joint is located on 80 Thoreau Street, Concord.

2. Audubon Circle

If you are a vegetarian, then the House-Made Bean Burger served at Audubon Circle should be your first choice. It is made of black beans, pinto beans, corn, barley, and corn chips spiked with garlic and ancho. It is then topped off with lettuce, chipotle mayonnaise, and tomato and then served on French bread roll. The restaurant is located at 838 Beacon Street.

3. B. Good

This restaurant serves a 4.5-ounce patty slathered with chipotle salsa and mashed up avocado. For the health freaks like me, you will never go wrong with this healthy burger. The joint at Derby Street Shoppes, Hingham, is one of the many B.Good burger joints in Boston.

4. Back Bay Social Club

The signature burger at this restaurant, dubbed the Social Burger, is a 10 ounces patty of dry-aged beef and seared through open fire, then topped off with onions and aged cheddar. It is served on a pretty common bun but this does not interfere with the mellow taste of the meaty components.

5. Boston Burger Company

It would be unfair to list the top burger joints in Boston without a mention of this company. The signature burger, called 'The King', is made of Presley inspired sandwich tastes that includes fried cinnamon banana chunks, bacon, and peanut butter.

Despite all its grandiose, the city is pretty simple at the core. People in Boston love to eat burgers as people in all the other parts of the US and if you are ever in the city, do not deny yourself a burger thinking that you will be out-classed.
